Scott Cooper - Founder
Securus Consulting Group was founded by Scott to address the increasing level of confusion and burden for organizations and their staff as it relates to compliance and security in the Healthcare, Financial, Legal and Retail industries. Scott focuses on developing strategies around people, processes and technology to assist organizations to implement governance, reduce risk and simplify compliance as it relates to information technologies.
Prior to Securus, Scott has started and managed companies in the telecommunications industry along with information technology infrastructure support and consulting.
Scott holds both Bachelors and Masters of Science in Management Information Systems degrees along with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Arizona.

Jeff Cox – Managing Director
Jeff is a key member of the technical execution team. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading, directing, and executing client-facing engagements that include Securus Consulting Groups tactical and strategic security and compliance service offerings.
Jeff's previous work experience covers a 19 year span working for industry-leading companies such as T-netix, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies. Jeff’s consulting experience has crossed most industry sectors and clients have ranged from Fortune 500 companies, law enforcement, city government, healthcare, and educational institutions.
Prior to joining Securus Jeff worked for intelliTECH Communications Group representing their healthcare IT division intelliHEALTH IT. During this time Jeff achieved a variety of industry certifications including security and compliance certifications and assisted in the roll out of a comprehensive security and compliance portfolio at intelliHEALTH IT that allowed healthcare organizations the opportunity to fast track their HIPAA, HITECH, and Meaningful Use objectives.
Jeff is an active member of the MGMA, Ambulatory Surgery Center Association, Microsoft Health Users Group, and regularly participates in various information security awareness organizations and think tanks including the National Cyber Security Alliance, NIST, SANS Institute, and The Department of Homeland Security.

With over twenty years as an Operations Manager for an Investment Advisor Firm with $25 billion in assets under management, Robert managed a team of Portfolio Administrators whose departmental responsibilities included client portfolio reporting, performance reconciliation and reporting and proxy voting according to client mandated voting policies.
He ensured department responsibilities were carried out in accordance with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations and complied with the annual Service Organization Controls (SOC)1/SSAE16 controls examination. He was responsible for new client onboarding custodial documentation requirements and procedures while reviewing and implementing new technology systems and improvements to reduce client risk and firm expenses.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from William Paterson University along with various ongoing course work in Compliance, HIPPA, PCI, and Project Management.
Robert is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
